No Insurance
A person must not use or cause or permit to be used a motor vehicle on a road or other public place when there is not in force a policy of insurance or security against third-party risks.
It is for the defence to show that a person was insured at the relevant time and
To produce a certificate of insurance or insurance policy.
This is a strict liability offence and a person is guilty of the offence if he:
- Uses a motor vehicle without insurance
- Causes a motor vehicle to be used without insurance
- permits a motor vehicle to be used without insurance;
- Does not comply with the terms of his insurance policy.
